    Day 1: Arrive Colombo - Transfer to Kandy

     

    Arrive at Colombo with a warm welcome by the Local tour representative, who will show the arrangements for the next travel to Kandy. Enjoy the three and half hour journey through the mystical high roads of Sri Lanka and reach the land where elephants are born and bred. Explore the enigma of Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. The 25-acre coconut property adjoining the Maha Oya River provides a home for many orphaned Elephants found in the jungles of Sri Lanka, known as Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The place must be on the top of your bucket list if you are an animal lover. You can feed one of the playful baby elephants during their feeding hour which will undoubtedly make you want to take a baby elephant home even if you can’t! (Feeding Times: 9:15am, 1:15pm & 5:00pm) Watch them bathing, splashing water happily, twining their trunks friskily when they are led to Maha-Oya.

     

    After this one-of-a-kind adventure you will be transferred to the hotel, where you will check in. Evening time is free at own leisure to explore the beautiful city. Later return to the hotel after having Dinner & spend the night to savor a much needed rest.

    Day 2: Exploring Beauty & History of Kandy

     

    Charge yourself with morning breakfast at hotel and proceed for the City tour, which will be solely dedicated to the exploration of the other mysteries of Kandy. Apart from the wonderful elephant orphanage there are other treasures of Kandy which you must enjoy.

     

    Kandy Temple of the Tooth Relic- Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic a UNESCO World Heritage Site which was built in the 16th century as the place of veneration and protection for Lord Buddha’s sacred tooth. Walk through the beautifully embellished passageways and elaborately painted halls, done in red, cream and black. Lounge against delicately carved pillars and get amazed by the beautiful golden statues. Get an unforgettable experience of history and art.

     

    Spice Gardens- Enjoy the Sri Lanka’s world renowned spices at their source. Visit a spice garden, where smells of cinnamons, pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and mace overwhelm the senses and the visitors are provided an insight into an age old industry of spice production.

     

    Kandy Gem Museum- One could see a variety of gemstones and a huge collection of jewelries. Gem Museum, as its name, has every collection that one could never miss admiring. You may purchase the most precious products available here.

     

    Later in the evening, witness the Cultural Dance Show. The Kandy Cultural Show- It will give you an opportunity to experience some of the traditions of Sri Lanka. Enjoy this hour-long extravaganza as some of the most popular art forms of the island take to the stage. Get wowed by fire dancers and sword dancers. Watch the colorful Kandyan dancers take to the air to the thrumming primal beat of the drums.

     

    After the day trip you get to come back to your hotel and relax your well-travelled feet. Later have Dinner & spend the night in the hotel and get ready for another adventure on the next day.

    Day 3: Transfer from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

     

    After your morning breakfast at hotel, pack your bags for the journey ahead. We make our way out of Kandy and drive to Nuwara Eliya. The 1.5 hrs drive is quite spectacular with waterfalls, rocky outcrops and paddy fields. En route we visit the Ramboda Falls followed by Tea Factory visit & Seetha Amman Temple.

     

    Ramboda Falls- Enjoy Sri Lanka's hill country from the comfort of the Ramboda Falls. It is a true getaway from everyday life. Visit to this place with beautiful surroundings to relax your mind. An escape in lush verdant surroundings with waterfalls in the foreground and in the background misty mountains carpeted by dense tea bushes just waiting to be explored.

     

    Thereafter we visit tea plantation and tea factory. World renowned Ceylon tea is produced here. See the process of tea manufacturing and the way it is graded. It would be good to buy some. Ceylon tea is the most expensive tea in the world! Refresh yourselves with a cup of Ceylon Tea in the factory.

     

    Next we will proceed to visit Seetha Amman Temple- The Sita Amman Temple, located halfway between the highland village Sita Eliya and the Ashok Watika, has become the most venerated of all Ramayana Trail sites in Sri Lanka, because it is believed to be the place where Sita spent most of the time during her captivity on the island of Lanka. After she refused to stay in Ravana's magnificent palace she was transferred to Ashoka Vatika or Ashoka Vana where she lived under Ashoka trees. It was here that Ravana's wife Mandodari visited her and that Hanuman met her for the first time, identifying himself with the finger ring of Rama. Sita is said to have bathed in the nearby stream. There are remarkable holes in the rocks at the river bank believed to be footprints of Lord Hanuman.

     

    Later we continue our drive to reach Nuwara Eliya. It is Sri Lanka’s most popular hill resort and hosts Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet). This place produces a significant share of world’s best tea. On arrival, Check in at the hotel and have rest. You may set out to explore nearby places on own & return to the hotel after having Dinner.

    Day 4: Enter the Magical World of Bentota

     

    After the breakfast we will Check out from the hotel & proceed for a short orientation of Nuwara Eliya. Later continue for another thrilling journey to Bentota. On the way relax and enjoy Sri Lankan greenery & have a glimpse of local culture during this 6 hours drive. Bentota is the first National Holiday Resort of Sri Lanka. On arrival, check in to the hotel and relax.

     

    The splashing water of Bentota is where your tour will take you on the fourth day and you can indulge yourself in various water based activities, Sun bathe and go for a sightseeing adventure. There is also the Turtle farm which will make your eyes dazzled and the Musk Shop from where you can collect some ethnic souvenir. You can also go for a boat trip in the Bentota River. Remaining day is free at own leisure. After having a lovely Dinner, return at hotel to spend the night at Bentota.
